Xorakus was a hit!

Sunday night we took Xorakus out to Optimism Brewing Company in Seattle for the Seattle Board Gamers group's Sunday Funday event. This was the first time playing the game at a public venue and also, the first time introducing it to people I didn't already know. It was a great time! We met some really great people!

I noticed that many of the people at the event were relatively new to Seattle, which leads me to think that the meetup was really as much (or maybe more) about meeting people as it was about playing the games. Relatively quick, party games are probably better suited for the group, but the people that actually played Xorakus (Stephan, Kim, and Chris) all seemed like they had a good time and others seemed interested as well. We received a lot of positive feedback along with several very smart questions and suggestions for the game and how to promote it. So, here's a big thanks to Seattle Board Gamers for letting us join in with our prototype! You're the best!

A mock game of Xorakus is set up in front of the Xorakus box to show all of the acrylic pieces and a few of the terrain tiles. The logo for Emerald City Comic Con is below it along with some type that reads "We're demoing Xorakus on 3/7 & 3/9 with Playtest NW".
